Green Day

We Chicago-ians like to go all out on St Patrick's Day and dye our river green! No worries, it is a bio-degradable coloring substance, so it doesn't really make river any more dirtier than it already is.

The only green I could find in my closet was this teal-ish cardigan ... Hey, teal is a type of green or blue, no?

Top: Nordstorm Rack, Cardigan: Wet Seal, Belt: J-Crew Factory, Jeans: Levi's, Boots: Kohl's, Gloves: Target, Bracelets (which you can't see): E-bay

"My weaknesses have always been food and men - in that order." - Dolly Parton

Not men, just one man: My Boy! And sometimes, only sometimes, the order changes as well. :p
The Boy and I needed an escape from the academic setting, so we headed toward the city for a change of scene. We decided to check out the Chicago Underground Comedy group at the Beat Kitchen: 5 comedians for 5 dollars! It just can't get better than that. Each one of them were unique in their style and content. One of them was very well versed in politics, who of course was the Boy's favorite.
While yelpin' places to eat nearby, we came across 90 Miles Cuban Cafe. It had raving reviews, so we had to check it out. Food was delicious, but it was the interior (see it for yourself down below...) of the cafe that I couldn't get enough of. Alright, you got me, I couldn't get enough of the food either, so I will be heading back there as soon as I get some time!
The cafe was very cozy with cutouts from vintage newspapers on every wall, so I had to take some pictures ...

Why doesn't anyone write songs like these anymore?
I asked the Boy if he would, and he gave me "sure honey" face ... and we all know what that means. :p

“My interest is simple. Since the age of 9 I wanted to fly in space.”- Peter Diamandis

I finally got to visit the Museum of Science and Industry! Wohoo … :)
Yes, I love museums. Especially the ones that allow me to be a kid again ..
you will see what I mean when you look at my pictures. :p

Well, while I was there I got introduced to a man named Peter Diamandis. I can't believe I hadn't heard of him before … I mean I have only been dreaming about getting on the zero gravity flight my whole life .. and guess what he is the founder of Zero G

Only if I had ~ $4,950 stashed under my mattress or in my back account for that matter … :p
One day I will get on that flight, but until then I am gonna try to follow some his awesome laws; aka Peter's Laws.

Here are some more pictures from the Museum, enjoy!

I couldn't control the kid in me ...
 I just had to ... :p

I guess, I couldn't really control the medical student in me either ...
Nerves
Vasculature  (arteries and veins)
Major muscles in human body!

Oh yeah, did I ever tell you that my childhood dream was to become a pilot?

Baby Chicks Hatching...

Inventions and future ...

Planet Earth

That's all for today! Make sure to visit the Museum when you are in Chicago.
I guarantee that the kid in you will love it! :)

I wear my blacks with browns!

My cousin and I have spent past few days walking around Chi-town; riding CTA trains, sightseeing and eating at la famous restaurants. I moved to suburbs of Illinois last year, but thanks to my somewhat busy schedule and somewhat lazy attitude, didn't get much sightseeing done last year.
Good thing, I have at least four more years to see this city inside out! :)
